Essential Marketing Services LLC is a business located in North Bend, Oregon. We specialize in identifying and providing marketing solutions for small and medium sized businesses and non-profit organizations. Our services include marketing consultation, graphic design, web development and the production of marketing materials and campaigns. Our goal is to provide a much needed marketing capability to Coastal Oregon Businesses and thereby promote the economic growth within our area of influence.

Our Vision

Our mission is to design and implement integrated marketing and printing solutions that will allow you to successfully grow and market your business, while minimizing the number of agencies you need to do so. We are not in business to sell to businesses. Our goal is to establish a relationship in regards to the marketing of your business so that we can focus on providing you with the necessary tools and information you need, including quality operations related print material, web and digital media, publishing, and continued marketing counsel.

Our Background

Essential Marketing Services LLC is an incorporated partnership founded by Patrick Livingston and Bradford Gates, both residents of North Bend, Oregon and dedicated to seeing the local economy and business prosper and grow. Each of the owning partners brings a substantial degree of specialized skill and qualifications to be utilized within EMS and its respective offerings.

Patrick Livingston, a local graduate and valedictorian of SOCC, has two separate associate degrees in the business field; one in marketing and the other in small business management/entrepreneurship. Currently working towards a BS in managerial economics through EOU, his plans are to pursue an MBA so that he can expand the company’s ability to provide consulting services to small and medium sized local business. His work experience comes from a background of consulting work within a small business development center, as well as substantial time spent as a media marketing specialist for radio broadcasting.

Brad Gates has an extensive background as a working graphic artist and has run a successful graphic art company doing website design and commercial photography. He has served in management as the Director of book production for The Critical Thinking Company. He has an associate degree in Criminal Justice from Sacramento State University and holds a California Police Officer's Standards and Training Certificate from Napa Law Enforcement Academy. Other work experience includes 3 years as a contractor to the US Navy’s Marine Mammal program at SPAWAR San Diego, 2 years active duty service with the US Navy and as production rigger for custom load bearing shop that services West Coast Naval Special Warfare Units.

Our Passion

We believe that the basis of a healthy community has strong roots in the health of the local business and their effect on the economy. As a people, we are meant to be prosperous so that we may have the opportunity to reach out and help others. We believe in success as a vehicle for success, not just in business but life as well. As dedicated members of North Bend’s Celebration Center Ministry, we are also active in many community efforts as well.

Most recently our efforts have been to help organize a youth ministry involving the opportunity for groups of kids to participate in weekend paintball games, giving them a healthy outlet for that energy that often leads to trouble.
